During her modeling career in the 80's and 90's, Crawford was one of the most popular supermodels to grace magazine covers, fashion runways, and advertisement campaigns. She appeared on Vogue, People, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Allure, and Cosmopolitan magazines, just to name a very few. In 1988, Crawford posed nude for Playboy magazine, in which she was photographed by Herb Ritts.

Also in 2005, she introduced a new furniture line, which was called the Cindy Crawford Home Collection, which is manufactured by HM Richards, Inc. Crawford was instrumental in the creation and the development of the furniture line in that she acted as a main consultant concerning the furniture features, colors, and styles that represented her own tastes and preferences in furniture and decor. Crawford launched a second furniture line with Raymond & Flanigan, and a housewares line with J.C. Penney, in 2009.
In 2009, Crawford appeared in the coffee table book, called Room 23, along with many other celebrities, who were photographed by Deborah Anderson and the book was produced by philanthropist, Diana Jenkins. She made a brief reappearance in modeling in 2011, when she appeared on the cover of Vogue Mexico. Crawford has also recently written a book, called Becoming, which was released in September of 2015.
