Mark Wahlberg was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1971. He was raised in the Dorchester neighborhood, an area known for its immigrant history and diverse mix of cultures. Mark was the youngest of 9 children and is the brother of actor –singer Donnie Wahlberg.
Mark had a violent adolescence, where get got in trouble with the local Boston police department at least 20 times. He was only 13 when he already gained an addiction to cocaine as well as other substances.
