McMahon was raised by a single mother, and multiple step-fathers after his father left his mother while he was a kid. McMahon did not meet his father until he was twelve years old. He would graduate from a military school as well as from East Carolina University with a business degree. He is married to Linda McMahon, whom he married on August 26, 1966.
